WEIRD!!!!

I finished watching TV, and as usual.... I grabbed a book to take into the bedroom with me, so I could read for a while.

But my bedroom ISN'T MY BEDROOM ANYMORE!!!

It's all cleaned up for painting, all my pictures and stuff are off the walls and in the closet, my cabinets and my books are in the living room, and so is all my witchy stuff, and my dolls and stuff.... it's just so empty and weird!!!!

I really don't know if I can sleep in there tonight!!!

I'd sleep on the sofa, but I'm guessing my cat would walk all over me most of the night. SIGH

Guess I'm going to have to just bite the bullet and go in there. After all, on Thursday I can buy the paint, and have everything painted and hanging up again by the evening.

I don't like EMPTY ROOMS!!!!

Reminder

I just wanted to remind these lovey ladies that won my trade, that they have to send me their address!

witchbythesea@gmail.com

can't send you your stuff with out it! giggle

crazy squirrel lady
bluemoontreasures

OUCH OUCH OUCH!!!

Why do I keep getting myself into these mess's?

I managed to get the Fig tree's in the house!!!!! I couldn't wait till the boy came this weekend cause it's getting really cold at night. Last night it was in the 30's!!

So it took me two days, moving and pushing them closer to the house, then this morning, humping them up the stairs and into the house!!! Then on to the kitchen table.

I thought "WOW FIGS!!" I LOVE figs... wouldn't it be cool to have my own figs??? Never taking in to consideration that they have to be brought in during the winter!! DUHHHHHHH

Then I started getting the bedroom ready to paint. I figured I would do it in a day or two, just so I didn't get a flair up of my fibromyalga! Again Duhhhhhhhh

This is the empty dresser in my bedroom where the computer was..... and the one on the bottom is the computer in it's new place in the back bedroom. I LOVE IT!!!! I can sit at the computer and look out at my cauldron and the flowers... that I COULDN'T see from my bedroom. Plus all that natural light! FANTASTIC

I also move out the double dressers in my room, and am as I speak, patching the nail holes in the walls. I'll leave the desk the computer was on in the room, I can paint around it... but the dresser's had to be moved cause I have to set up a ladder for that wall, and I couldn't do it with the dressers in the way!

As for my bed, I'll just paint all the walls, except the bed wall, then move the bed and paint behind it. I don't have the strength to take the bed apart, move it, and put it together and move it again!!!

I'm at the point right now that I think painting my bedroom was an idiotic idea!!! and I should have left it the way it was!!!!!! GIGGLE

Sunday, September 27, 2009

Oh my goddess!!!! It's almost the end of the month!!!! And to tell you all the truth, I've been doing dittily squat, nada, nothing!

I put some fall decorations out.... but that's about it.

I think the problem is that I'm soooooo wrapped up in my new found freedom.... that I'm just spending too much time enjoying the quiet!!!

Don't get me wrong, I've been doing crafts, eating lox and cream cheese (and NOT sharing it with my absent son!) and other small things... read 10 books, cleaning like a nut freak, fixed the pipes under the kitchen sink, and stuff like that....

but nothing major like painting my bedroom or even buying one pumpkin!!!!!!

But I did buy some Halloween candy, though I'm very sad to report that most of it has gone the way all good candy should go.... eaten by ME! Maybe I won't put the porch lite on for Halloween.... but that won't stop me from buying more candy. GIGGLE

I'm usually working in the garden, getting my planters clean and ready for the winter, putting all the lose stuff in the shed (winters by the beach are super windy!) drying herbs, making sure all my plants are mulched, and all that other outside stuff that needs to be done...

But it WON'T STOP RAINING!!! How can I do anything outside in this constant rain??? ****SIGH*****

I keep hoping for a full week of dry sunny weather, so I can go out and do all this stuff, but so far it hasn't happened.

Well, it's got to stop. This week, rain or shine, I'm going to finish up my garden work. So what if I get a wet and moldy... it's got to be done... right?

The facts about CHOCOLATE

To get you ready for Halloween, I thought you should know a few facts about Chocolate.

Remember, knowledge is power!

1. If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.

2. Clearly, chocolate is a vegetable. Chocolate is derived from cacao beans. A bean is a vegetable. Wait! There's more! Sugar is derived from either sugar cane or sugar beets. Both are plants, which places them in the vegetable category. QED: chocolate is a vegetable.

3. Chocolate-covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit. Eat as many as you want. Fruits are an important part of the Food Pyramid.

4. Hot tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off Your appetite and you'll eat less.

5. If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights, and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves.

6. Money talks. Chocolate sings.

7. Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger. Therefore, chocolate is therapeutic.

8. Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.

9. A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Isn't that handy?

10. If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?

Good luck spell

HERE'S A VERY STRONG SPELL I FOUND FOR YOU. I'VE ALREADY SENT IT ON TO SOME FRIENDS THAT REALLY NEED IT, AND THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE IT WITH THE REST OF MY FRIENDS!

YOU HAVE TO WRITE THE SPELL ON A PIECE OF PAPER.

THEN BRING A POT OF WATER TO A BOIL, WHILE READING THE SPELL, DROP IN THE POT A LARGE HANDFUL OF SALT

THEN WHEN YOUR DONE READING THE SPELL, DROP THE PAPER IN THE WATER, AND LET IT BOIL IN THE SALTED WATER TILL IT BREAKS APART AND FALLS TO PIECES.

AND I KNOW THIS SOUNDS DISCUSTING, BUT WHEN THE PAPER FALLS APART TURN OFF THE HEAT, AND LET THE WATER COOL, THEN TAKE A CUP OF THE WATER AND TAKE 3 SMALL (VERY SMALL) SIPS OF IT. ALSO MAKE YOUR PARTNER TAKE 3 SMALL SIPS TOO. THIS WILL COVER BOTH OF YOU.

Things go wrong, this we know
but with age, we all shall grow
reverse it now, bad luck be gone.
Bring back good luck to this sorry one.
In the past mistakes are made
I correct them in this age.
As the salt devolves here in
so bad becomes good again!

As I will so mote it be
As I will so mote it be
As I will so mote it be

http://thevintagesage.blogspot.com/ sent this on to me.

THANK YOU!!!!

Now, here are the rules:

1.) Thank the person who gave this to you.
2.) Copy the logo and place it in your blog.
3.) Link the person who nominated you.
4.) Name 7 things about yourself that no one would really know.
5.) Nominate seven 'Kreativ Bloggers.'
6.) Post links to the seven blogs you nominate.
7.) Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know you nominated them.

Okay, here goes!

1.) my credo, bombard people with personal information, and they won't ask questions you don't want them too. Being mysterious is bad, then people question everything about you.

2.) I like to be alone, I mean really, I rather sit at home with a good book, then go to any party anywhere, and have to be physically forced to attend one

3.) I have dated and gotten serious with a TV/movie star (shut up Steph, no telling) but what people don't know is that he wasn't the only one I dated...I dated one other and I slept with 2 others. What can I say, movie stars like chunky women!

4.) I'm a member of MENSA... (but shhhhh don't tell anyone, I like the "dumb bimbo" vibe I give everyone)

5.) I can use my right and left hand, trading off, or doing two things at once with each hand. I know there's a name for it.. but I can't spell it

All is forgiven

Well, I have forgiven my cat for his beastly behavior last night... though I gave him a cold shoulder most of the morning.... what they hay, I was GROUCHY!

I also managed to stay awake all day long, so I don't mess up my sleeping tonight... thanks to the help of some Banana fudge ripple chocolate chunk ice cream. Ohhhhhh yummmmy

Now it's night again, I'm in my bedroom typing away... fan going since it's gotten cooler, and hopefully no rain in the forecast!

I found out I won a contest!!!! The fabulous Ms. B (http://silvermoonwitch.blogspot.com) awarded me some seamless socks.... I can't wait to give them to my daughter so Morganna can try them out on her poor little feet.

I was also on the phone most of the morning!!! Seems my friends know when I'm grouchy, and call. giggle They did cheer me up, but I know I spread some of my grouchy around too!!! Lets hope it didn't do too much damage to them. LOL

Also, my "mothers guilt" worked, and my son is talking about coming home this weekend to "pick up more of his stuff" (that's what HE said) but he also mentioned bringing in the fig trees for me. sigh... no pizza boy....sigh

I'm sure I would have figured out a way to get them in the house.... one way or another. giggle

Hay, anyone out there in blogger land use belly button rings?????? I have a ton of them left from my selling days. cute faeries, and goth stuff and gem stars. Now I'm pieced, but not my belly button, so they are just sitting her gathering dust.... so if you have a need for some, let me know!!!!

Ugh! What a night!!!!

I don't usually have bad nights..... but last night was the mother of bad nights!!!

When I went to sleep it was cool and nice, so no fan on... but then 2am in the morning came around........ grrrrrrrrr

I woke up to a raging thunder storm, the temperature had spiked up... an the room was unbearably hot!!! And to top things off I had freaking HIVES from the Tylenol I took for my shoulder pain!!!!!

I tried to put the fan in the window, but because of the rain, it was a no go..... so I got up and went on the computer and had a cig, but that didn't help much... It was so hot and humid that I couldn't breath!!!

So, I said, grrrrrrr again, and got up and went out to the living room.... there I watched a show on TV for a few minutes.... boring.... so I went and took a benadryle for the hives.... and turned on the aircondioning!!!! I had no choice, it was just too hot to sleep!!!!

Going back to my room, my cat who hates thunderstorms, pushed his way into my room, and ran under the bed!!!!! A total no no because of the hose chewing thingie... so I had to get down under the bed and get him out of my room!!!!

He's a giant lump, refusing to move.... I'm itching with hives, and hot.... sigh.... I finally got him out..... and the aircondioner stared cooling the room, and the benadryl made me sleepy.... sigh

So I finally fell asleep around 5am!!!!

I think I'm in trouble

I have a bad shoulder, well, it's not bad... it's just not connected to my collar bone... long story....shark attack..... bad shoulder.

So I can't lift anything really heavy, cause the shoulder separates... but that's not the problem, because it pops right back on it's own.

The problem is the pain from the ligaments and muscles stretching! It sucks!!! (one of the reasons I can't paint my ceilings.. that really need painting!

But do I remember NOT to do heavy lifting with that arm. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Because I'm a big dummy!

So, I managed to get my palm tree in the house from outside. cool, now I don't have to worry about it going belly up with the colder weather.... but now my shoulder, arm, and back are in AGONY!!!

Hay, I can cope.... but what is waiting around to kill me..... are the two fig tree's that have to come in the house!!!! If I leave them out, they will die, and MY FIGS WILL NOT DIE!!!!

How do I get them in the house? My sons at collage, so I can't get him to lift them and lug them in the house.... I'm a widow, so no hubby to help... and my other kids live too far away to help. Hummmmmmmmmm

What am I going to do? Easy, I'll wait till the pain goes away (thanks to massive ice packs, and heating pads) and I'll go outside and bring the suckers in.

Hay what the heck, it's only another 2 weeks of agony... I can handle that. SIGH

Trading can be fun!

Oh, I'll announce the winner on Sunday!

OK Guys, just so you know, I used to sell this stuff at conventions.... so we're not talking expencive with wholesale prices.... And I was really hoping for crafts and stuff to trade for! I LOVE hand made things!!!! Don't feel that because this stuff was bought, you can't trade for stuff you make!!!!

Feel free to send this around to others that might be interested

I'm in the mood to trade.... No, I don't want sell them, or to do a contest... and make you follow me on twitter or facebook or anything. giggle Just a trade.

I used to sell at conventions, and I have a ton of supplies left over.

This lot includes a Burl wood Mortar and pestle, a copper colored cauldron (fill with sand and burn your incense), and 3 magnets... the one with wording says "bubble bubble toil and trouble anger the chef and prep time doubles"

Do you have stuff that you want to trade it for?

Write me at witchbythesea@gmail.com... and tell me what you would like to trade this lot of goodies for! If I like what your offering, we trade! Simple and easy, only expense is the postage.

Don't worry I have lots of stuff like this, including some odd things like a Real turtle candle holder, a albino turtle shell, more mortars and pestles, and so on and so on.. and others I'll post later, so I can make more then one trade....

I do have quiet a few of the copper cauldrons also.

If you don't win the first trade, maybe you'll win another. :)

Lavender sugar for the cold winter

This year I'm not harvesting my Lavender. I like to, every few years, let the flower go to seed, the natural way.

Besides I have a ton of dried lavender in stock, so it's nice to allow the bee's to have the flowers till frost this year.

I couldn't resist popping outside, to steal a few flower heads to make my Lavender Sugar... for my winter tea's.

I mean, how can one live without lavender sugar? Not only do I use it in my tea, but I also put a teaspoon into my bath water. Makes your skin really soft, and very moist. I'm not sure if it's the sugar, or the lavender that does it, but it works!

I'm really upset about the loss of my Rosemary this spring, after 7 years growing in my garden, it's kind of like losing a friend.

I don't know why it died! I think maybe the cauldron cast shade on it, since the rosemary was super healthy untill I put the cauldron up.

Rosemary doesn't like the shade... something I didn't think about before hand, so I'll get a new plant in the spring, and set it somewhere in full sun.

This time I think I'll do it in a large planter, but I'm not quite sure... since it does so well in the hot shore sun and sandy soil. Hummmmmm, have to think about that.. but I have till spring.

Ugh, but that means I have to go buy some dried Rosemary! I used up my whole supply of it last year..... I can't make my pork roast without fresh rosemary... so dried will have to do.

Autumn

Autumn

The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I'll put a trinket on.

Gods eyes decorations

Begin by holding two sticks together in a cross shape, and continually wrapping different-colored yarn or ribbon around the arms.

God's eyes are one of the easiest crafts you can make, and they're versatile because you can create them in any color. For a harvest celebration, make them in fall colors -- yellows and browns and reds and oranges. At Yule, you can make them in reds and greens. If you'd like to make one for your household altar, you can make it in colors that correspond to your family's deities and traditions. You'll need two sticks of equal length --

I like to use long cinnamon sticks, but you can use a dowel rod, popsicle stick, or just branches you've found on the ground. You'll also need yarn or ribbon in different colors. If you like, you can include decorative items like shells, feathers, beads, crystals, etc.

By using alternating colors of thread or yarn, the finished result looks like an eye. In some traditions, you might associate the four points of the cross with the four classical elements, or the directions on the compass. You could even see them as representative of the four major Sabbats -- the solstices and the equinoxes. One great thing to do while making god's eyes is use them as a spell working in themselves -- visualize your intent while wrapping the yarn, whether it's protection for your home and family, to bring love your way, or even a prosperity talisman.

Wrapping Your God's Eye

By using seasonal colors, you can create a god's eye for just about any sabbat or celebration.

To begin, hold your two sticks together in a cross. If you'd doing this with children, it's a good idea to put a small dab of glue on here to prevent slipping. Look at the diagram for an idea of how this will look.

Wrap a length of yarn one or two times around the top arm of the cross, right where the two sticks meet, going counterclockwise (be sure to hold the loose tail in place and wrap the yarn over it to keep it from unraveling later). As you come around on the left side of the upper arm, cross down and over to the bottom side of the right arm. Bring the yarn out behind the top of the right arm, and cross over to the left side of the bottom arm. Finally, bring the yarn from the right side of the bottom arm across to the top side of the left arm.

This is actually easier than it sounds -- look at the diagram in Picture 1 and follow the arrows. Continue wrapping the sticks in the same order until you have a good amount of the color you're working in. Then switch to a new color, and continue the process until you want to change again. Finish it off with a length of yarn tied in a loop, so you can hang your god's eye. What you'll end up with will look like the photo in Picture 2.

Finally, you can decorate the ends of the sticks with feathers, ribbons, beads, or crystals, whatever you prefer. Hang your god's eye on a wall, or use it on your altar for Sabbat celebrations.

Mobon Blessings

Celebrate balance at Mabon.

Equal hours of light and darkness
we celebrate the balance of Mabon,
and ask the gods to bless us.
For all that is bad, there is good.
For that which is despair, there is hope.
For the moments of pain, there are moments of love.
For all that falls, there is the chance to rise again.
May we find balance in our lives
as we find it in our hearts.

Wish some of your good fortune on others.

We have so much before us
on for this we are thankful.
We have so many blessings,
and for this we are thankful.
There are others not so fortunate,
and by this we are humbled.
We shall make an offering in their name
to the goddess who watches over us,
that those in need are someday
as blessed as we are this day.

Update on Morganna

I realized I haven't updated on Morganna for a while now.... I tend to try and ignore things that bother me... so I haven't said much.

But Morganna is home!!!! She's back at school, and her hair is growing back as you can see from the picture

She still has a lot of problems since the operations. You can see her little arm still isn't responding much... but she is walking now... still over emotional...but they say that's from the stroke, and hopefully she'll get better at that.

And getting around is still a problem, but I have to say my daughter is handling things very well... though she's about a flea's hop away from a nerves breakdown. Giggle

At least they aren't going back and forth to the hospital all the time... and now morganna is in regular rehab, somewhere local... much better for mom.

Today.... I say Goodbye

Today is the day I need to clean my bedroom. The dust has landed with alarming rate over all my stuff... and while I'm here, doing it, I figured it was time to put all my summer stuff away! SOB

It's already getting way too cold for most of the stuff!

So I must bid good bye to all my pretty shiny summer SHOES!!!! SOB

Much as I love them.... my toes are getting too old to stand the cold! sigh

All those wondrous colors, and toe bearing heavenly foot huggers.... they must go into the closet and out must come those dark, black, dreary, winter shoes!!!

Oh why!!! Oh why!!! can't I have boots of leopard print, or pink ones!!!! Why do those horrible men (and I'm SURE it's men!) that design winter wear... not make my boots and closed shoes more PRETTY!!!!!

Oh well, (sigh), I can only hope for one last "Indian summer", where I can take out my Pretties for a few more days... and glory in the feel of the sun on my toes!!!!!

Merlin my sweetie.... or how to KILL a cat!!!

I love my Merlin. He's my most wonderful kitty.... but Merlin HAS problems!!!

Most of the problems stem from the fact that he's actually a Spell..... that went wrong!!! Yes, as I keep reminding my daughter (who cast the spell!) BE SPECIFIC WITH WHAT YOU ASK FOR IN A SPELL!!!

But, needless to say, he's mine now. He's very possessive of me... down to the fact that if he doesn't like how I'm acting, or talking... he will SLAP ME!!! or just put his paw over my mouth to shut me up!!!

Now, Merlin has been BANNED from my bedroom!!! I have a select comfort bed... you know, one of those air beds they advertise...BEST THING EVER!!! Never slept as good as I do on this bed, and since I don't sleep well... EVER... the little sleep I do get is only due to this bed.

Well, Merlin has been banned because he thought it was cute to chew on the hose's that supply the air to the bed!!!! ALL up and down the hose! Thank the goddess I found that electrical tape works pretty good to repair the bite marks....cause otherwise it would cost me a fortune to get a new air pump and hose's!!!

But, because of this, he's no longer allowed in my room..... so now, he sits outside waiting for me.... and has learned to KNOCK ON MY DOOR!!!

Not just one bang, but repeatedly, over and over.... any time of the day or night that he wants me to come out of my room!!!!

BANG, BANG, BANG... he goes!!!! If I yell at him, he'll stop and go away for a "while"... because he assumes he has woken me up, and I'll be out in a few minutes...... but if I'm not (like heaven forbid I fall back to sleep) he will resume banging again.

Now, it's not for food, I've checked and he's got plenty in his dish, or water... ditto... so it's just to annoy the @##@@@!!! out of me!!!!!

I'm not sure what to do about this... besides killing and stuffing him and using him as a doorstop!!! SIGH You can see this is aggravating me, can't you?

Any suggestions on how to stop this new aggravating habit of his??????

I should mention, that this has gotten worse since my son left for collage... maybe he used to do this to Matt's door (though nothing short of an atomic blast would have woken up my son!!) and now he's doing it on my door, since Matt is gone!!!

Books, books, books

OK, I admit I have a problem.... I'm totally addicted, helplessly hooked... I'm a Reader!!! I read sometimes up to 5 books a day! I always have, and hopefully always will.

I especially like books about witch's.... or vampire's... or other paranormal people... but not dead serious books, I like funny, campy, and GOOD!

Because of my addiction, like any good drug dealer, I'm gonna pass it on to you! I'm going to give you the names of some of my favorite books....
all of these books are a series...
more then 3 books about the same thing....
so I'm not going to list all the books, just one in the series.......... to make it easier for you to look them up at the bookstore, or amazon.com, or where ever you get your books.

All of these I HIGHLY recommend! You might like to try one or two, and see if you like them!!!

Mary Janice Davidson.... Betsy the vampire Queen series

Total hoot, vampire queen...NOT... she's campy, loves shoes, and is not quite sure why she's a vampire... but she's coping!

Tanya Huff
The summoning Saga

Cute, but not fluffy, only 3 books in the series, but good.

Shirley Damsgaard
Ophelia and abby mysterys

Librarian, and her witchy grandmom, small town, lots of dead body's, and a stubborn witch that needs to learn her magic

Michele Bardsley
Don't talk back to your vampire!
Town of moms turned into vamps, trying to cope with raising normal kids and familys while being the undead

Madilyn Alt

The "hex marks the spot" series
Cute, funny, yet full of witchy magic.. featuring a goth chick who lives with a nasty goddess inside of her, but manages to have fun!

Tate Hallaway
Tall dark and dead series
vampire, witchs, and werewolf's... oh my. LOL SEXY, funny

Casy Daniels
Pepper Martin Mystery's

Chick hit her head on a gravestone... and now see's the dead... and they piss her off!!! LOL

Sara Mlyrowski
Bras and broomsticks

Kids book, but cute, and I love reading them

Annette Blair
The kitchen witch

Starts with this one and goes on and on... cute witchy triplets, handsome well hung men.. and tons of sex. Yummmmmy

Kim Harrison
This witch for hire

Lots of serious stuff here, but good reading.. witch's, pixie's, vampires, and a witch that just seems to be jinxed. giggle

And, of course, the Sukie Stackhouse books, but If I have to tell you about them.... where have you been? Books are now a HBO show called "True Blood" but the books are MUCH BETTER then the show! So get off the TV, and look for Charlaine Harris... Dead in Dixie series!!!!

those are just SOME of my favorite books.... I can name many, many more that I've read over and over, but my blogs not big enough to list them all!!!!

Wand

I've started to make a wand.

Something I've been thinking about for years, but never found a piece of wood that called to me.... but I have now.

Now, for those of you who don't know, I was raised a witch... and there is no way, no how, my dad or gradpop would have even thought of having a wand! That was something that they never heard of!!!

But, even with the great lessons they taught me... the Prince of magic..Walt Disney... took over a small portion of my mind. And all the pretty wands his women had... called to me over the years! GIGGLE

So, I finally have the wood, and it will be a LARGE wand. Harry Potters tiny little wand is not the type I imagined.

This one will be the length of my arm, heavy and perfect.

(you know me, even pretty things I can turn into a weapon of some type... I'll bop the evil ones over their heads, and leave a dent!!!)

I won't show you a picture yet, since it's very rough, and I haven't decide what to decorate it with yet.... but It's sure to have copper and crystal on it, around it, and even inside of it.

When it's finished, I'll publish a picture.

Alter

Also a nice wreath of sparkling fall leaves around My Goddess on my alter....

Couldn't resist any more!!!

Today I couldn't resist the feelings of Fall anymore!!! I tried, really tried not to start decorating.... even though those Evil Women were mocking me.... giggle.... but that tote sitting on the kitchen table was calling me, and it knew my name!!!!

So, I figured, just one thing.... just one little bit of decorating... and of course, my cauldron insisted that it should be first!!!

Very hard to do, since the pipes holding it are almost 9 feet high!!!! But I managed to start some fall leaves going around the pipes.

Then I place a fall wreath laying down inside of it. Over a garbage bag of empty milk bottles that I had collected just for this reason. After all the cauldron is much too deep to just try and fill with stuff... so the bag with the empty bottles brings everything almost up to the rim.... and makes decorating much easier.

Now closer to Halloween, I'll put a jolly pumpkin in the middle of the ring, and maybe a nice metal black cat that I have.

Though my REAL cat HATES the metal one!!!! Sits at the window growling at it... but what the hay, Merlin has to get over it some time. LOL My favorite thing to say... COPE!

Forgot to mention, all that green around my cauldron... It's lavender... from one plant, it's gone wild!!!! I guess the heat from the cast iron appeals to it!!!!!

Night Life

In the witching hour of night,
Or bed is the moon and bright,
And the stars they glisten, glisten,

For what listen they?

Summer lament

I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
All I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the seagulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull's way and the whale's way, where the wind's like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And a quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trip's over.

Pre-Fall Cleaning Ritual

This morning I started my Pre-Fall cleaning ritual. Things I do before the Fall Cleansing ritual that I always do on my house.

So, that meant that I had to gather all my crystals that I keep on my window sills. And I keep at least one crystal on each window sill, sometimes more. All gathered up, I placed them in a deep glass bowl with super hot water, and tons, and tons, and tons, of salt. I then place the soaking crystals in the sun to cleanse.

(this is also a good time to add your ritual jewelry, and tools to the salt crystal bath.. why not cleanse everything at once! This way you don't forget anything!)

Sometimes I have to change the water and salt a few times, depending on how dirty they have become!!!! I already changed the water once... so it's been a pretty bad karmic summer.

In another bowl I place hot water and more salt, this I use for cleaning the window sills, and top of doorways, etc. Any entrance into the house. Just by using a wash cloth soaked in the hot salt water.... I wipe away all that smutty stuff that manages to find it's way into your house.

Now, in October I will do the final cleansing, the laying of the salt barrier inside and out, the smugging of the bad aura stuff through out my house... but in the meantime, the longest part ..... cleaning of the window sills.... is done.

Making it much easier to finish the main cleansing.

It's a hard time for me, because I don't like having my protective crystals off of my windows and doors, but it's got to be done at least 2 times a year to make sure the crystals are at optimum protection quality.

I also go around the house with the salted cloth, and clean, light switches, tables, nicknack's, and anywhere others may have touched...

The hardest part of this, is the cleaning for the large crystals... I have to actually stop up a stink and pour the salt and hot water into it, because a bowl wouldn't be large enough for the big clusters!

Then I start preparing for the major fall cleaning ritual. I get my salt ready, sage, lavender... and all my supplies.

But, I'll tell you how to do that at a later date.

How to prepare for Halloween

Please use these helpful hints this and every Halloween and during the whole year.

1. When it appears that you have killed the monster, never check to see if it's really dead.

2. Never read a book of demon summoning aloud, even as a joke.

3. Do not search the basement, especially if the power has gone out.

4. If your children speak to you in Latin or any other language which they should not know, shoot them immediately. It will save you a lot of grief in the long run. However, it will probably take several rounds to kill them, so be prepared. This also applies to kids who speak with somebody else's voice.

5. When you have the benefit of numbers, never pair off and go alone.

6. As a general rule, don't solve puzzles that open portals to Hell.

7. Never stand in, on, or above a grave, tomb, or crypt. This would apply to any other house of the dead as well.

8. If you're searching for something which caused a loud noise and find out that it's just the cat, get the hell out!

9. If appliances start operating by themselves, do not check for short circuits; just get out.

10. Do not take anything from the dead.

11. If you find a town which looks deserted, there's probably a good reason for it. Don't stop and look around.

12. Don't fool with recombinant DNA technology unless you're sure you know what you're doing.

13. If you're running from the monster, expect to trip or fall down at least twice, more if you are of the female persuasion. Also note that, despite the fact that you are running and the monster is merely shambling along, it's still moving fast enough to catch up with you.

14. If your companions suddenly begin to exhibit uncharacteristic behavior such as hissing, fascination for blood, glowing eyes, increasing hairiness, and so on, kill them immediately.

15. Stay away from certain geographical locations, some of which are listed here:

Amityville
Elm Street
Transylvania
Nilbog (you're in trouble if you recognize this one)
anywhere in Texas where chainsaws are sold
the Bermuda Triangle
any small town in Maine

16. If your car runs out of gas at night on a lonely road, do not go to the nearby deserted-looking house to phone for help.

17. If you think that it is strange you ran out of gas because you thought you had most of a tank, shoot yourself instead. You are going to die anyway, and most likely be eaten.

18. Beware of strangers bearing strange tools. For example:

chainsaws
staple guns
hedge trimmers
electric carving knives
combines
lawnmowers
butane torches
soldering irons
band saws
any devices made from deceased companions.

19. If you find that your house is built upon a cemetery, now is the time to move in with the in-laws. This also applies to houses that had previous inhabitants who went mad or committed suicide or died in some horrible fashion, or had inhabitants who performed satanic practices in your house.

20. If you have just smoked dope, gotten drunk with a bunch of stupid frat boys or, especially, just had sex, you are as good as dead, so just kiss it good-bye!

Know the facts, folks. These aren't just suggestions.... GIGGLE

Giggle

OK, I won't make you sweat it. GIGGLE

Each lamp shade took less then 10 minutes to do!!!! Sooooo EASY!!!!

Most craft store carry the beads already sewn on cloth strips. Buy what you like, then get a lampshade.

All you need now is fabric glue... costs like 2 bucks.

Measure the strip of beads, and cut to fit the INSIDE Bottom rim of lampshade.

Glue the strip of cloth holding the beads to the "inside" bottom of the shade.

Let dry... this is the only tricky part, cause you have to glue a section, hold it for a minute till the glue gets sticky, and then glue the next section.... etc.

GIGGLE The lamp shades look fabulous, and it runs like 5$ to do a huge lampshade!!!!

And everyone thinks you worked HOURS on each shade. GIGGLE

Now, I want to see some pictures if you do your own shade... and let everyone know how HARD you worked on it!!! :)

This is my..........

This is actually my favorite lamp.

When I bought it, the lamp was white, and so was the shade.

I found a leopard shade at a local walmart, and beaded it with long gold tone beads, and I spray painted the lamp itself, black.

love it, it sits by my computer.

Lamps

I beaded my living room lamp this morning. I think it look wonderful!

The beads look slightly pink in the picture, but they are a dark Burgundy... goes really nice with my fall curtains I put up. Yes, I put them up already... can't help it.... LOVE THE FALL!

Perfect Pasta

I found the perfect Pasta for those of us who can't eat wheat or eggs!!!

And BELIEVE ME I've tried every kind of rice or corn pasta out there, trying to find something that tastes and looks like regular pasta.... AND HERE IT IS!!!

It's the perfect pasta color.... no difference from the rest of the regular pastas.... same consistency (you have to cook it like 10 minutes longer then regular pasta.. if you don't like it chewy.. and I don't like it chewy)

But, besides that.....who Care's if you have to cook it longer, as long as it tastes like any regular pasta!

Today I made meatballs... using the meat loaf mix... beef/veal/pork. Have to use that since I can't use bread crumbs in my meatballs... and regular beef is too dry without the bread crumbs. So I used the mix, and it was perfect.

Then I bought Prego spaghetti sauce... they are the only people with spaghetti sauce WITHOUT WHEAT FLOUR ADDED TO IT!!!

And I had a yummy dinner, and no allergy attacks!!!!!

Laughing my ass off

It seems my OLDER sister is on Facebook now.... just like I am.

Checked her profile.... and guess what.... my OLDER SISTER... who is 5 YEARS OLDER THEN ME.... PUT DOWN SHE GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL 7 YEARS AFTER ME!!!!!!!

Ok, lie about your age, why not after 2 face lifts, you might get away with it. LOL I on the other hand and happy to be ME! And NEVER LIE, at least about my age. GIGGLE

More Quiet

I talked about the quiet of the house.... now that the boy is gone.... now It gets even better..... IT'S LABOR DAY!!!!

That means that almost all of the "Bennies" (people who come to the shore for the summer, but don't live here) will be gone!!!!!

No longer will it take an hour to get down the road to go to a store, no longer will parking be horrendous.... No longer will rude, obnoxious people populate all the stores and such that I go too..... NO, THEY WILL BE GONE... AND PEACE COMES BACK TO THE JERSEY SHORE!!!!

Now, if I want I can drive down to the beach, walk the boardwalk and enjoy the last days of summer, and the crisp days of fall.... near the sea!!!!

I can hit my fav store that are further down towards the ocean... without having to fight traffic, and Jerks!!!!!!!!

Peace is in the house, and at the shore.... what more could a person ask for? (LONG CONTENTED "SIGH")

Mushrooms

I made some cute little mushrooms to hang on the tree also.

Love this picture!!!!!

Bottle Fedish

I love colored bottles. The kind of blue and green ones that wine comes in!! Unfortunately I can't drink wine.... let me explain. I'm allergic to SULFUR... all wines are sulfured, plus it's the reason for being allergic to poultry and eggs, all are high in Sulfur. Weird huh? But true.

But I still collect wine bottles, and empty the wine out, or let someone else drink it. Then I wash them, and decorate them with stickers.

This one didn't take a good picture, but it's a deep green, with blue iridescent bubbles all over it.

And these are with different stickers on them

The bottles have to have a cap or cork, and when all clean and decorated I fill them with my homemade Mead! Or just put them around in sunny spots like my window sills, so I can enjoy the colors!
