SNOW IN OCTOBER??????
I didn't have snow here down the shore..... we had lots of rain, some wind and that's about it. But around 10 am on Oct. 28, Barb called me screaming that it was snowing!!!!!!!
And, unfortunately it didn't stop up there, in North Brunswick, she got 3 1/2 inches of heavy, wet snow.
It caved in her summer porch (that wasn't taken down yet, well, who expected SNOW in October!!!!)
And did quite a bit of damage to some of her tree's.... including the huge weeping willow she has in the back yard!!!!
NOT a good omen for the coming winter. It hasn't snow this early in any of my memory!!!! And I go back quite a long time! GIGGLE

Damm, I did it again!!!!
Grrrrrrrr, I broke my friggin toe again!!!! It sucks!!!
My problem is that I have no depth perception, never did, never will.
I actually almost didn't get my drivers licence because of it. They had this stupid box, with three tiny cars in it, and you had to look, and line up the cars!
Well, with no depth perception...... IT CAN'T BE DONE!!!! But I lied to the teacher and told him I was going for new glasses, and he bought it!!!! So, I got my licence.
Just to show them up, in all the years I've been driving, only 1 accident, and that was because some idiot was drunk and didn't see that my car was stopped and rammed into me.... besides that.... Nada
Of course narrow bridges scare the shit out of me, you know those 2 lane ones that there almost isn't room for 2 cars, but I manages
But walking around furniture..... weeeeeeellllll, sometimes that doesn't work to good. GIGGLE
This time is better, it's only one toe, last time I broke two, put on high heels and went to a party! Duhhhhhhhhhhhh, after the party I went to the emergency room. GIGGLE
This time I didn't even bother, they don't do anything for broken toe's anyway, except tape two of them together..... which I did. And except for the pain, and swelling, it's totally cool.
One week at the most, and I'm healed.
But still it makes me feel really stupid that I hit a giant piece of furniture with my toe.
Did I see it? Yep, but I didn't think I was that close to it. LOL

Bamboo
I had to head out the the bamboo jungle in front of my house this afternoon. Some of the bamboo had gotten too close to my bedroom bathroom window! And every time it was windy it screeched and scratched against the screen in my bathroom window!!!
Let me tell you, it was driving me bonkers!!!!!!!!
But a sharp pair of sheers, and some major elbow grease (those suckers are HUGE!) I managed to quiet the screeching. GIGGLE
I'll have to do some more pruning in the spring, but for now...... blissfully quiet!!!

Cardnial Shrub
This is why I love the Cardinal Shrub. It's fall and it's blooming, but take a look at the blooms!!!! And the shrub is only 1 foot tall!!!! It stays on the smaller side, and each year more and more blooms!
Sometimes the old fashioned one's are the best!!! I doubt if any of the "modern" gardeners even know what the shrub is!!!!
And it's a double header...... hummingbirds and bee's both love it!

Shore Leave
I'm NOT going to shore leave this year!
Really, I mean it....... I know I've said it before, and I still reserved a room, "just in case", but this time I got the e-mail saying that the rooms are available, and I'm not responding.
I'm not even going to reserve a room "just in case." I think my time there has run it's course, all my friends have moved away, and don't come anymore.
And after last year, making no money in the dealers room, and even losing money.... I'm not going to do it again.
It's just not my place anymore.
But I'm OK. I have a lot of other things to do, and places to go. Though I will miss that weekend in July, I'm going to spend it sitting on the beach instead.

Weird things
OK, two weird things have been going on all this week.
One, I smell pine...... can't figure where it's coming from, because it seems to be coming off of me!!!!
But I don't and haven't used any pine scent or pine tree's or anything.... so I'm stymied. And it comes and goes, but when it comes it's real strong. Haven't a clue what that means!
Second, is my right palm is itching like nuts!!! I know an itching right palm means money is coming, and a itching left palm means money is going out... and it's my right one..... so money's coming??? From where? When? and a couple of "goodie, goodie's" in there too!
I've learned a long time ago to PAY ATTENTION TO SIGNS! They may seem meaningless, but they usually aren't. So itching palm I get.... but pine scent.... what the fuck is that?????
Oh, I almost forgot.... those of you who know me, know I'm a cheesy poof freak.... well, I found the BEST cheesy poofs...... SMOKEY SWISS CHEESY POOF'S!!!!! No shit!!!! They are F A N T A S T I C!!!!!!!!

Memorys
Summers almost over,
Fall will soon be here.
Pumpkins on the doorstep,
Fragrant mums appear.
Spooky ghost's and goblins,
Roam our rain swept streets.
Candy and sweet apples,
Bring memory's so deep.
Sunny days and evenings cool,
Dressing up as pirates and ghouls.
Leaves swirling in the air,
Red and orange, beauty fair.
Its the days of blazing colors,
And the nights of fairy dance.
Welcoming the cold cold winter,
With a last colorful blast.

I got so mad
I was watching "till death" a TV show that pretty funny. But last night it PISSED ME OFF!!! The hubby had ordered a pizza..... she didn't like pepperoni and ALWAYS asks him to order half and half..... and he never does..... stating that she can just pick off the pepperoni and give it to him...... not caring the the oils from the pepperoni are all over her pizza half.
I was totally enraged while watching that!!!!!! My hubby used to do the same SHIT!!! I liked my pizza loaded up with just about everything.... he liked extra cheese and pepperoni..... GUESS WHAT WE ALWAYS GOT!!!!! you got it, EXTRA CHEESE AND PEPPERONI!!!!!
NEVER FRIGGING ONCE WHAT I WANTED..... NEVER IN 21 YEARS!!!!!!!!!
Charlie was like that with so many things. He HATED the holidays, decorating and getting presents for ANYONE!!! But your ass was grass if he didn't get something!!!! So I kept buying him shit, and I got NOTHING!!!!
He wanted you to remember his birthdays..... but heaven forbid he actually remembered yours!!!! And even if he did remember it, I got nothing..... once again.
He like to hunt..... so vacation was for hunting..... never the beach or camping or anything.... but his hunting!!!!
Everything was for HIM!!!!
When I see things like that show, all I have to say is I'M SO FRIGGING GLAD HE'S DEAD!!!!!! I ONLY WISH HE HAD DIED YEARS SOONER!!!!!!!!
He may have been my best friend, but I really hated him towards the end. I say we had 7 years of good marrage, and the rest of the years sucked!
And men wonder why so many women refuse to EVER get married again after doing it once!!!! You know, they just don't have a clue!!!!

The fall season
The Last Harvest. The Earth nods a sad farewell to the God. We know that He will once again be reborn of the Goddess and the cycle will continue. This is the time of reflection, the time to honor the Ancients who have gone on before us and the time of 'Seeing" (divination) . As we contemplate the Wheel of the Year, we come to recognize our own part in the eternal cycle of Life.
Further, it is my belief that the Circle begins to collapse back inward after the Summer Solstice. One old folk belief about marriage (although much ignored today!) was that weddings should always be held in the waning half of the year, because that is a time when days are getting shorter, nights are getting longer, the wind is getting colder, and we are naturally drawn back indoors, to the warmth of the hearth and safety of the home, protected from the approach of winter's chill. Conversely, it was considered highly unlucky for a bride and groom to take their vows in the waxing half of the year, when days are lengthening and warming, and our natural instinct is to move away from the family-oriented life of hearth and home, and to ramble and roam through a wider community. The month of May was especially perilous for weddings.
So my model is that of a Circle which begins as a single point at Yule, and expands until it reaches its widest girth at Midsummer, encompassing the entire local community. But from that point onward, it begins to shrink again, in the same increments as before, but reversed, until it once again dwindles to the seed-point of Midwinter. Thus, the Circle of blessing and purification expands and contracts on a yearly basis, mirroring the spiritual heartbeat of our lives, our planet, and our solar system. It may now be guessed that the true and proper title for this article should be, "The Ever-Pulsing Circle". May it forever protect you within its circle and strengthen you with its pulse.

Thinking.....
OUCH!!! THAT HURTS!!!! I think steam is coming off the top of my head..... but I gotta do it anyway.
Soon, Matt's going to be gone. Due to some creative thinking on his part, instead of going away to Arizona to collage, he's going to Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
Nice and close, only about an hour ride, but still so far away that he has to stay there in the Dorms during the week.
Now what am I going to do ..... all alone.... for the first time in ALMOST 30 YEARS????
I went from my Mom's to my sisters, to marriage with Charlie. I haven't had the house to my self in just about FOREVER!!!!
Am I upset????? HELL NO!!!!! I'm so happy I could tinkle!!!!!!
Know why?
1. food will last FOREVER, with out the eating machine here to scarf it down in 20 seconds.
2. No more riding back and forth to collage
3. No more planning my day around him, his homework, his friends, him him him him him....
4. No more interrupting me during TV, while taking a bath, while talking on the phone
5. No more hearing about how board he is!!!!
Just Me, the Cat, and no one else!!!! YIPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE
First thing I'm gonna do is his room!!!! I'll replace the rug, paint, and put up new curtains. I'll leave all his stuff there, because he's bound to come home for weekends, and holidays.... but in the mean time, it can be a guest room.
A NICE, CLEAN, GOOD LOOKING GUEST ROOM!!! Not a boys room full of garbage all around!!!!
Then I'll move my computer BACK IN THE DEN!!!! No more computer in my bedroom!!!!! The den used to be mine, but I gave it up to him to do his homework in..... NOW IT'S MINE AGAIN!!!!
It's actually kind of scary thinking of being alone for the first time in so many years..... BUT I'LL ADJUST!!!!! GIGGLE

I'VE HAD IT!!!!!!
Let me point out as a prelude to this rant..... that I made my coffee WAAAAAAAY to strong this morning!!!! Plus, it's so cool and nice, and that puts me into cleaning overdrive!!!!!
I was looking for a measuring tape this morning, and looking, and looking, and looking, and looking!!!!!!!!!
I have 2 tool boxes, and many, many drawers that I put stuff into.... well it ended today!!!!!!
I cleaned out the THREE LARGE DRAWERS in my china cabinet... they only held junk anyway... pens, and lighters, and garbage!!!! And I made the china cabinet my tool box!!!!
The first large drawer holds all the screwdrivers, hammers, and measuring tapes. (I found like 6 metal measuring tapes spread out thruout the whole house!!!!! And I can NEVER FIND ONE WHEN I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!)
The second drawer holds all the tape.... electrical, double sided, duct, etc... and all the paint brushes and painting supplies!!!
The third holds all the tools that are less used.....the staple guns, huge pliers, spackling tools, glue guns, etc.
NOW, all my tool boxes hold are screws, nails, and dodads (dodads are things like hinges, and hangers, and such)
Now I haven't visited all the drawers in the whole house, were I drop things when I'm done with them (I found a screwdriver in my jewelry box!!!) but over the weeks I'll go thru all of them, and put all the tools in the China Cabinet where they now belong.
Oh and it has two smaller drawers on each side..... One is now for art supplies, (did you know I had five packs of colored markers????? Why????) and the other is for electronic supplies.

weird dream
OK, I dreamed about this last night, I was giving a lecture and this is what I was saying to the people in my dreams.......
"If you study a stream of water, you might think to yourself that the water is flowing in a seemingly random pattern. But, you would be wrong, the pattern is there. Every rock in the stream forces the water to flow in a certain way. Over and over again. And if nothing from outside changes it, it would continue to flow in the same pattern till the rocks are warn down by the water, causing the pattern to change, again
But if, right this moment, you drop a stone into the stream... the pattern changes. If it's for good or bad, there are changes in the pattern of the water flowing.
Life if like that stream. Any serious of unexplained events can change the flow of your life, change the pattern.
Random, maybe, but then again the unexpected events may actually be part of the bigger pattern that you haven't seen yet.
For when you study the flow of water in a stream, your studying only a section of the stream and not the whole stream. Seeing the bigger picture of the stream could show changes in the pattern, and prove that the changes weren't unexpected or unexplained, but just a natural part of the overall pattern."
Hummmmm OK, that's what I dreamed, I had to get that down on paper because it was bugging the shit out of me!!!!!
