Orange Scones
For the scones:
½ cups orange juice, freshly squeezed
¼ cup buttermilk
1 whole large egg
2 T. orange zest
3 cups flour
⅔ cups sugar
5 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoons salt
2 sticks butter
Preheat oven to 350° F.

Preheat oven to 350° F.
To make the scones, combine the orange juice, buttermilk,
egg, and orange zest. Set aside.
Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Bake for 20-25 min.... 400 degrees
For the glaze:
3-½ cups powdered sugar
⅔ cups orange juice
1 Tablespoon orange zest
¼ teaspoons salt
To make the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, orange juice, orange zest, and salt until smooth. Adjust sugar/liquid to reach desired consistency.
