I have to tell you about this freaking Jelly!
My sister, just to be a "bitch"...... My birthday is in March.....but because I couldn't get to her house....because of the high price of gas, and the fact that I had to save every penny I had to drive my son back and forth to school...... I asked her to come to my house for my birthday.
But, Oh No, she just couldn't!!!! You see after going to Paris, and Egypt, and London, she didn't have the gas money to come down to my house!!!!
In other words, if I can't spend the money to come up to HER, She's not going down to see me!!!!
My birthday... MAKE THE FUCKING 30 MINUTE TRIP TO GIVE ME A GIFT!!!! WTF!
So, I didn't get my March birthday present till July!!!!! And part of it was this threesome of Jelly's. Now, I'm allergic to WINE, and she knows it...... so giving me 3 jars of jelly made with WINE..... well that just makes sense, and of course I should LOVE IT!!! (SARCASM INTENDED)
Being the kind of person I am, I don't feel right putting something unused and good, in the garbage...... so I've endeavored to GIVE IT AWAY!!!! No luck, no one wants the crap, and now I'm still stuck with it!!!!!
I have to either chuck it in the garbage (my thrifty side winces at that) or store it somewhere till SOMEONE will take it! Grrrrrrrrrr
All in all, this is someone that just went into her closet, and gave me stuff that others had given to her.... re-gifting what she didn't want......... and that's cool, but THINK about the person before you do that! Don't give them something they can't use!!!!
Well, I guess it doesn't make much difference anyway.... so maybe it's time I bit the bullet and chucked it away. I did keep the chipped spoon rest she gave me, thought it was chipped, it's still pretty. And I did love the Egyptian necklace with my name on it... she does have good taste, sometimes. But the Jelly has to go!!!! GIGGLE

Thanks to Steph, I found this pretty lady on line!!!! She's the same size as Janu, wears the same clothing, is fully articulated...... but she has painted eyes, and is made of plastic.... not resin like Janu.
All in all, that means she's CHEAP!!!!! I CAN AFFORD HER!!!!! Those resin dolls go for around $400 just to start with, and this pretty lady is less then $100.
But I have to tell you in her words : "NOTES FROM THE COUCH
My therapist, Dr. Bantam, says I suffer from chronic ennui, with just a touch of melancholy – but I guess I’m just too tired to figure it all out. I’m supposed to write down my thoughts and feelings – but really, it’s not that I’m not happy, or even sad - just mostly bored.
I should tell you about my cat, Sybil. I’m not really sure if she has nine lives, but she definitely has nine personalities. Unfortunately my favorite personality is when she’s sleeping...
I guess that’s all I have to say for now. I do have an appointment with Dr. Bantam later today, but I just don’t think I’ll have the energy to go…maybe tomorrow.
SEEMS LIKE A PERFECT MATCH FOR ME!!!! It seems I will have my hands full keeping her even a little happy.....but it should be fum!!!!

OK, I'm not going to tell you how bad it is to be me, and have nothing to do..... but I will tell you that I've got the measuring tape out.......
and that's NEVER a good thing with me!!!!!
That's how I wind up with all my "little" projects! And take the word "little" with a healthy dose of sarcasm!!!
I spend hours on the web, browsing. And find ALL KINDS of things. Like I found a good idea to spruce up my kitchen cabinets...... "Tatouage!"
Yep. they have a...... well, let that be a surprise for now, when I get money to buy it, and do it, I'll let you know.
But both my bedroom and Christmas closets are done, nice, neat, and clean...... now I'm looking around for something more to do this winter.... hence the measuring tape!

Thanks to the absolutely ENDLESS DAYS OF RAIN, here at the shore. I actually got to some projects in the house.
I mean I feel bad for my friends being snowed on, but this is the rainy weather is something I thought we would be getting in October!!!!!
It's rained more days this December then days that we've had sun!!! SUN???? WHAT'S SUN????
But it did get me to clean out my closet in the main bedroom. Now you can actually walk into my walk in closet!!!! WHAT A CONCEPT!!!!!
Next is the closet in the back bedroom, the Christmas closet. I'm gonna clean that sucker out!!!!! Yippppppie!!!!!!!
Oh, by the way..... this picture was taken with my new camera TRIPOD!!!!!
THANK YOU AUNT HARRIET!!!!!
I love it, it's high, and I just click on timed, and I can actually be in the picture!!!!

I'm sitting here cleaning out my mail on my accounts on the web, and cleaning out the drawers in my desk......
And I've counted 6 party invites!!!!! Now, 3 of them are out of state. Two in PA, and one in MD. I DON'T LIKE DRIVING IN BAD WEATHER!!! So they are out!
And one is from someone I love, but it's in California!!!!! Santa didn't bring me a plane ticket, and I don't have the money to buy one..... though I'm sure If I said yes, he would send me a ticket, but It's too far for one party, so no..... take pic's and send me them. GIGGLE
One is Brenda and Alan. THEIR PARTY ROCKS!!!!! I always go to them.
A. they are sea food freaks like me. (last time he had like 50 lobsters!!!)
B. They are real close, so it's cool to drive. and
C. They know a lot of hot, rich, male friends. giggle.
The last one is from a group of Trekies that I have no fucking clue WHY they would invite me!!!!!! I HATE MOST OF THEM, and those I can stand, I'm not too fond of anyway. So that one's out.
It's nice to be wanted, but move closer, or have your party's at the beginning of the month! To close to Christmas and the weather turns bad.
I may try to attend one in PA, but that's only if the weather is good. The nice thing about that one is that it's a bit AFTER Christmas.... so the traffic won't be bad. Thank the Goddess!!!!

And of course my cute little neo-pet! He's very handsome... don't you think?

To have a successful holiday season the following eating rules must be adhered to.
1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, it you see carrots leave immediately. Go next door, where they are serving rum balls.
2. Drink as much eggnog as you can, and quickly. it is rare, You can't find it any other time of the year but now, so drink up. Who cares that is has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you are going to turn into an eggnog alcoholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two, it is later than you think. It's Christmas!
3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy doesn't stand alone, pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy Eat the volcano. Repeat.
4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it is skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission.
5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?
6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Years, you can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10 pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.
7. Same for pies. Apple, Pumpkin, Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one desert? Labor Day?
8. Did some one mention fruitcake? Granted it's loaded with the mandatory celebrity calories, but avoid it at all cost, I mean, have some standards.
9. One final tip, If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Reread the tips, start over, January is just around the corner.
Remember this motto to live buy.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
Don't forget to break out the Champagne New Years Eve.

I saw this and couldn't resist. Of course it isn't Merlin, but the look on his face is the same one Merlin gets when the grandkids come! GIGGLE. I'm hoping they come down this weekend or next so we can exchange gifts!

I know he's ugly, but to me he's so ugly he's CUTE!!!!
This adorable cookie jar was from Barb.
So far I'm doing really good this Christmas.... gift wise that is.
Barb also gave me one of those herbal heating pads, but this one is the size of a baby's blanket. Covers's your whole back!!!! Fantastic for those achey days! Plus the cutie cookie jar above, and a wand that puts lotion on your back where you can't reach, nice!
And my Aunt Harriet sent me money, (money is the best gift... then you can get just what you want!!!!) and I went out and got a great warm blanket for my bed (I really needed that! I was getting cold these nights) and I got the big stand up tri-pod for my camera. So I can set up my camera like a professional! Soooooooooo COOL!!!!
I'm a happy camper! GIGGLE

Some thing Barb said a few weeks ago, has been stewing away in my brain. Yes, that's me, it takes me a while to think about something, and then comment on it, but that's what keeps my temper pretty even. giggle
She asked me if Eileen, my sister, had talked to me yet.
I said no, and I really didn't care if she ever did again.
Mainly because I did nothing to piss her off..... but she does stuff to piss me off every time I talk to her!!! Her nasty jibs and jabs that she considers being honest, are hurtful and spiteful, and just plain nasty!
She should learn to guard her jealous mouth, and she might have more friends.
But we were talking about hair, and Barb made a nasty comment about Eileen's long hair..... now I'm growing my hair long now too..... so of course you KNOW she was also making a jab at me!
I like Eileen's hair, long hair rocks!!!! And yes, her's is getting a bit dull. She needs to spice up the color a bit, or color with something that adds highlights, the color is right, but it's dull and drearily. She needs some sparkle!
But mine is getting long too..... why? Because most of my life it was short..... it looked cool short when I was younger, then the kids came along, and short hair was just easier to take care of. But now that I'm older, I'm having fun seeing how long I can grow it!!!
It's totally white now, but I'm happy to say it's the platinum white, not that gray white or yellow color.... so occasionally I use a color rinse to brighten it up and add some red highlights, but all in all, I leave it white. And it's way past my shoulders now, and getting longer by the day.
I love to braid it, or do a high ponytail.
Now Barb's hair is short, short, short, always has been. She's got that "butch" thing going on. She likes it, and I never comment, but if your going to have the Butch cut, you have to up it with makeup and stuff to add the fem touch to yourself, and she doesn't.
Barb is pretty even tempered, but she does have a tendency to snap at people if she's pissed off at others, or herself..... but she's cool if you call her on it. Hay, people are human!
Eileen finds something about you that your proud of, and makes nasty comments about it.... but in a seemingly off the shoulder way..... yeah, right. She's just nasty!!!
I mean when you consider last shore leave, she was nasty to anyone who stopped to talk to me, making them leave with her comments...... instead of joining in the conversation and having some fun. And even by our room, I was having a blast talking to a new friend, and she just sat there and snubbed them! Not nice. I'm a friendly person, open up a little and join in!!!!!
But Barb doesn't make nasty comment often, once in a blue moon, and then she apologises.... she was just being snippy. GIGGLE
But the hair thing bothered me, maybe because it reminded me of how Eileen snipes at me, but it doesn't matter. Like I said "LONG HAIR ROCKS" and I'm going to keep growing it, because I LIKE IT!!!!!

First snowfall of the year!!! I woke up this morning to see it gently falling, and my cat going nuts!!!!! He wanted to catch the flakes, thinking it's a game..... so I opened the front door, and he stepped out..... AND FROZE!!!
Pretty falling white things shouldn't be cold and wet!!!!! GIGGLE
After trying for a few seconds to walk without touching the ground...... he JUMPED back inside and ran to hid under the dinning room table. Looking at me with distain.... as if it was all MY fault!!!!! GIGGLE
It's an hour and a half later, and still falling.
Jamie and the kids were coming up today, I pushed them off because they were all sick, and so am I.... not a good idea to be exposed to sick kids, when I'm sick myself.... and I'm glad I did, because they would have been caught in the snow all the way down here!!!
And Jamie HATES driving, even in good weather, but doing it in the snow would just about kill her!!!!
But it's SUNDAY, I don't have to be anywhere, or drive in it, so I'm totally cool with it.
I'll drink my tea, eat my anchovies in cream cheese on rye toast, and enjoy watching the pretty white stuff!!!!

Not only is she an elf.... you can't see the ears in this picture, but believe me she has elf ears..... but she's a VAMPIRE!!!!!
Tiny white fangs, again hard to see in this picture....but soooooooo sweet!!!!!
This craving for these dolls is killing me!!!!!! I can't bring myself to spend 400 dollars on a doll, even if I had the money...... BUT I WANT ONE!!!!!!
(stamping my foot, and pouting!!!)
Steph has to STOP SHOWING THEM TO ME!!!!!!
In the case of these dolls, not seeing them is the only way to stop wanting them!!!! GIGGLE

This is the little tree for outside. The tree (it's slim, but 6' high) the decorations, and those big old fashioned lights...... all together ran me around $20 dollars!!!!! (goddess bless the dollar store!!!!!)
Really!!! Nice and cheap for the outside decorations. I like it, even though I haven't stuck it outside yet. GIGGLE
It's going in a large 3 foot gray decorated pot, and will be in front of my kitchen windows on the opposite side of the stairs from my bamboo. COOL!!!
Of course I still have my inside tree, the one Mary gave me, and I'll put some decorations inside also.
I love YULE!!! Even though I'm not getting anything this year. Matt's student loan didn't leave anything over..... so that cool roll up pink keyboard I'm drooling over will have to wait for me to get it myself.
Jamie is getting me gifts, but she has her kids to buy for, so I hope it's something cheap, the kids are more important.
But, even so...... I wake up each Christmas morning.... and thank Santa for what I got, or didn't get. GIGGLE.

I am going nuts!!! The last two weekends are like the most boring ones in the whole world!!!
Not that I don't have stuff to do..... cleaning, getting ready for the holidays, and much more...... that's not it....... the problem is that I'M OUT OF BOOKS!!!!!
Not only am I out of books, but the ones I keep to re-read when I don't have any new books.... I'VE RE-READ THEM!!!!!
IF I DON'T GET SOMETHING NEW TO READ SOON, I'M GOING TO GO BONKERS!!!!!!!
But what really sucks, is that I don't have the money for any new books.... so bonkers is it for now.
For those of you who know me, I read sometimes 5-6 books a week. And if it's really quiet, double that. So not having books is a major concern for me.
And usually, when I run out of books, I re-read all my old favorts, but, that's been done. I haven't gotten a new book in like 6 months!!!!!!
It's like being a drug addict!!!! Without my books, all that's left is the TV!!!!!!
Posted by Judith at 10:28 AM
I want to work on my Yule decorations..... but it too freaking cold out!!!!!! I put the tree that going out side in front of the house together.... in my bedroom..... I even added the lights..... but am I going outside to put it in the pot????
I'm sitting on my couch, watching gardening shows, drinking coco, cuddling with my cat....... and waiting for the weather to break a bit till I go outside.
Matt has off from the 26th to the 30th of this month..... then he's done for good on the 21st of December.
He invited some of his friends over for Thanksgiving.... I'm NOT cooking.... he is.....
most of the food I can't eat anyway.....
so I'm having some shrimp stir fried, and the guys will enjoy a full thanksgiving meal........
well, if Matt doesn't burn anything! GIGGLE

I was catching up with some old school chums on the net. What fun? Some of them I haven't seen in 40 years!!!!!
You know what impressed me most..... their pictures. I don't know if it is because we grew up being hippies, but all of them, look their age!
Now you may think that's bad, but it isn't. Aging is natural, and wonderful, and I wouldn't change my face for any kind of money. And all my friends agree. No face lifts for us. We love the way we look, and let me tell you honey, we ROCK!
The only reason someone our age should get face work is if it's really necessary. Like one of my friends who has that drooping eyelid problem. She finds it hard to keep her eyes open because of it, so she's getting just that fixed, and NOTHING MORE.
But I do know people older then me who are probably going for their second face lift. Who do they think they are fooling????
Even if a younger man should be attracted to them..... they are going to find out their age sooner or later..... and it's the age thing that counts.
Why can't women our age be happy with men our age? Besides the fact that many of them are DEAD already! GIGGLE
I admit to liking younger men.... but no more then 10 years.... and then I'm always honest about my age, eye color, and I have my original, factory installed, face. GIGGLE
Yes, I still put on makeup every morning, and probably will into my 90's.... looking pretty is still an option for me, but I just don't think you need to artificially enhance it. But, I guess it's each to their own.
But it was nice to see my friends, looking like my friends should look!

So I'm all frustrated from filling out those forms like I stated in the last blog..... when there is a knock on my door......
Now, a slight flash back, my lot is graveled, except for a 2 foot by about 10 foot spot out back behind the house....between homes.... sort of like an alley. I don't mow it, don't have a mower....besides it's behind the house, and even from the outside I can't see it, unless I walk all the way behind the house.... and that I don't do. But it's not a problem, just some weeds, and usually the guy behind me mows it or at least he did before he moved, Mobil home and all.... not I just have an empty lot there. but I digress.........................
There is a knock on my door.... and two young guys... well not too young, like 20's stood there. They had been mowing my neighbors yard and to quote them:
"Our grandpa told us to mow the "nice OLD widow woman's" grass while we were at it"
MARY..... CALM DOWN!!!!!!! CALM DOWN!!!!! I SWEAR NO ONE DIED BY MY HAND!!!!!...TODAY AT LEAST!!!
Though for a second there, I stood, and pictured ripping out their still beating hearts with my BARE hands, and running around the yard, clutching said hearts, and cackling while drinking the still warm blood!!!!!!!! pant pant pant pant....
But I didn't. They did say "nice", and Widow (I AM a widow), and it was a freebee.... so I controlled myself, said... "Hay thanks!" and went back inside before my baser instincts took over and there would be blood shed!!!!
Maybe I wouldn't have reacted so stronly if it wasn't for thoes STUPID FORMS!!! GIGGLE But I do have a problem with the word "OLD" YES, indeed I do. GIGGLE
Posted by Judith at 8:18 AM
This has NOT been a good week for me.... filling out government forms SUCKS!!!!
First I wanted to change my health plan..... same plan, but mine has the option I can go to any doctor I want to.... and the other you have to pick your doctor from a book...... same company...... but a $60.00 a month difference in cost!!! And since I pay for it out of my annuity, that extra $60.00 a month will be goddess sent!
So, since I need to save money I needed to change the plan..... forms and more forms, and a government web site visit that, I swear, turned my hair gray!!!!! GIGGLE
Then I ONCE AGAIN applied for help with my heating and cooling bill. I got turned down last year..... they NEVER INFORMED ME OF THAT, I just guessed it when I didn't see a reduction in my bills.
So I called them up when a new application arrived......and they told me it was because my STREET address and MAILING address are different. Duhhhhhh, I live in a Mobil home park..... can't get a clue can you?
Well, after talking to them again, and THIS TIME GETTING A NAME, I filled it all out, along with copies of EVERYTHING THEY COULD THINK OF... and I'm sending it out AGAIN!
If I don't get it this time, I'm done with the county help shit..... besides next year Matt will be away at school, so my bills will be significantly reduced. (no lights, TV, computer, in his room)
But, enough with forms, I'm done till my income tax shit comes due. I HATE FORMS!!!!!!!

went into the "Christmas closet" today, I figured It was about time to make a list of what I bought, and what I have left to buy.
Holy crapola!!!!! Waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy to much stuff in there!!!!!!!
So as of now,I am done with:
Barb (just what she wanted)
Jamie (too much stuff)
Matt (he's got his already, and played it)
Steph (she's gonna love them)
Baby Josh (only one thing, he's a baby it's big, he'll love it!)
Elizabeth Paige (pretty stuff, and educational)
Sabastion (cool stuff and educational)
All I have left is something else for Morganna, I got her a pretty stuff, but she needs an educational
I was going to get the kids gift certificates, but I have gotten too much already for them.
Plus I have all the little shits for their stockings, like candy and finger puppets etc!
I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS NOT MY FISH TANK! GIGGLE
I wish it was, but no such luck. My Cuz gave me a nice one a few years ago, but Jamie has it now, so I have a 10 gallon tank
And I thought to myself, "Self, get the tank out of the shed, and get some fish!"... and myself thought that was a good idea!
But, since over the years I've lost all the pumps, lights and stuff, off I went to the pet store. It can't be THAT expensive, can it? After all I have the tank!
Wrong!!!!!!!!!! I needed:
a cover with a lite...$22.00
Gravel for the bottom $20.00
Pump and filter another $20.00
Aerator you got it, another $20.00
And of course the fish, and the food, and I didn't even bother checking the price for those!!!!
So I'm back home again...... with just an empty fish tank sitting on the counter.
When all you have at the end of the month, after bills are paid, and food is bought, is like $20.00...... it would take me MONTHS to get the tank up and operating!!!!!! One small item at a time. And of course that SUCKS!!!!
So back in the shed goes the fish tank! See why I wished that picture was my tank?

I didn't have snow here down the shore..... we had lots of rain, some wind and that's about it. But around 10 am on Oct. 28, Barb called me screaming that it was snowing!!!!!!!
And, unfortunately it didn't stop up there, in North Brunswick, she got 3 1/2 inches of heavy, wet snow.
It caved in her summer porch (that wasn't taken down yet, well, who expected SNOW in October!!!!)
And did quite a bit of damage to some of her tree's.... including the huge weeping willow she has in the back yard!!!!
NOT a good omen for the coming winter. It hasn't snow this early in any of my memory!!!! And I go back quite a long time! GIGGLE
