Farmer Brown

I couldn't ignore the garden any longer.... due to the rain, and the stress I've been under, I haven't really looked at it much at all. And I sure didn't need to water with all that rain!!!

But, this morning I went out and checked on it, and picked, and picked and picked!!!

This bowl above is from ONE of the string bean bushes, I have about 20 of them. I swear the beans were really tiny last time I looked, but today they were giant.

And I picked blueberry's, the ripe ones, and froze them for winter cereal treats. Then I spent an hour picking the Gooseberry's!!!!!

Seems it's all doing good, except the tomatoes..... lots of tiny tomatoes... but only 2 ripe ones.... hope they all start ripening soon!

I must try to remember to go out each day and pick, really, I'll remember, sure I will...... damn!

Morganna

I haven't posted about this before, because honestly, I've been just too upset too!

This little darling is my Granddaughter Morganna, she's 7 years old.

A week and a half ago she suffered a series of Strokes! Blood clots to the brain.

Why? No one has that answer, but it happened. They have done every test they can think of, and still no answers as to why it happened.

Due to the quick thinking of Jamie and Brian, she was rushed to the hospital. There they air lifted her to Children's Hospital in Pa.

After 2 brain surgeries to remove the pressure, and blood clots... she's on the road to recovery.

She's still on light pain meds, and has a shunt in her brain to drain fluids... but she's starting to respond!

She's not talking yet, the breathing tube messed up her vocal cords... but Jamie told me she managed to say "no"!

She's responding with thumbs up and down, for yes and no. And now she's nodding and shaking her head for the same thing. Showing everyone, that she's still there and still Morganna!!!!

Her eyesight is still a little messed up, but she is seeing! and they hope any damage is not permanent

She has a long way to go yet, her left side is affected, but they are working with physical and occupational therapy to strengthen that side. And she still has to start talking.

They still have to operate again to replace the part of her skull that was removed to relieve the pressure.

She's a strong little girl, and I'm sure, now, she will be fine.

Jamie and Brian have spent almost all their time going back and forth to Philly to be with her, and work with her to help with her recovery.

We all prayed to the Goddess for her healing, and she has answered us. Once again, we know, the Goddess will provide!

Every day, step by tiny step, she's improving... and I hope she will return to being the sweet little darling she was!

Binding spells

Quick note about the binding spells...... if it's on paper, dig it up, burn it... and say:

Spell that's done, now be undone!

(three times over concentrating on the initial spell)

If you can't find the initial spell to destroy it, just concentrate and say the words, and this should work just as well

Most binding spells have a limit of time they work for..... sort of like ..... hummmmmm.... say an air freshener, works for a while then gets less and less till it's gone.

I usually put a limit on the spells, a time limit. (for the next month, day, week, etc then the spell), but it really isn't necessary because free will will eventually dampen and destroy the initial spell, unless you do it over and over and over again.

But just remember, every thing you do comes back to you 10 times.... so be careful of any harm you may do!!!!

Boredom AND Aggravation

Boredom

"The human mind thrives on novelty. What was once a source of pleasure can become tedious after a time. Though our lives are full, boredom lurks around every corner because we innately long for new experiences. Yet boredom by its very nature is passive. In this idle state of mind, we may feel frustrated at our inability to channel our mental energy into productive or engaging tasks. We may even attempt to lose ourselves in purposeless or self-destructive pursuits. While this can be a sign of depression, it can also be an invitation issued from your mind, asking you to challenge yourself. Boredom can become the motivation that drives you to learn, explore the exotic, experiment, and harness the boundless creative energy within.

In Hindu and Buddhist traditions, boredom is perceived as a pathway to self-awareness. Boredom itself is not detrimental to the soul-it is the manner in which we respond to it that determines whether it becomes a positive or a negative influence in our lives. When you respond by actively filling the emptiness you feel lurking in yourself, you cultivate creativity and innovation. If, when in the grip of boredom, you have difficulty acknowledging the merits of any activities you might otherwise enjoy, generate your own inspiration. Before you find yourself beset by boredom, create a list of tasks you can consult when it feels like there is simply nothing to do. Referring to a list of topics you want to learn more about, projects you´ve yet to begin, or even pending chores can spark your creative energy and reawaken your zest for life.

When we are troubled by boredom, it is not that there is nothing to do but rather that we are not stimulated by the options before us. A bored mind can be the canvas upon which innovation is painted and the womb in which novelty is nourished. When you identify boredom as a signal that you need to test your boundaries, it can be the force that presses you to strive for opportunities you thought were beyond your reach and to indulge your desire for adventure." Daily OM

OK!!! Yeah! So being this Bored is a good thing?????

I don't think so!!!! Giggle! But, I'll keep the faith, and hope that it doesn't last. giggle

Nurturing and love are key actions related to Midsummer. If you haven't

AWWWWWWW

I have to tell you this.... it's soooooo cute and wonderful.

Last night Brenda showed up.... Seems she and Alan agreed that I deserved the vacation to Shore Leave, and she came with a credit card to pay for the whole thing!!!!! Room, food, tolls, gas... EVERYTHING! And she even told me I had to spend at least a $100 dollars of the money in the dealers room!!!!

Now you have to understand... I don't think they have even WATCHED a Star Trek film!!!

And they didn't want to go WITH ME... just giving me the card so I could go.

Now, I'm NOT an idiot.... if they were going with me, and agreeing to pay, I would have gone LIKE A SHOT!!! But I couldn't accept taking their money, going with out them. That is just not fair. But, Boy did I appreciate the offer!

The sweetest PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!!!

I am like a pit bull with a robber by the seat of his pants.... I'M NOT GIVING UP YET!!! I have like a week and a half to find the money, and so I won't give up the room till just before it's too late. GIGGLE

But, now that I have have to get my breaks replaced.... that seems further and further away!!!!

But thanks to my darling daughter....Brian, her future hubby, is going to do the breaks for me.... saving me muuuuuuch MONEY!

It's good to know that there are so many wonderful people in the world!

SIGH I just can't seem to win for losing this year!!! And to top it all off, that Friday of Shore Leave, Matt has to be to Rutgers for the two day orientation!!!!! But STILL, I could drop him off early on Friday (he has to be there by 8am) and HOP on the turnpike and still make it to shore leave in plenty of time!!!! Since his friends will be picking him up and taking him home afterwards.

So, I'm NOT GIVING UP YET. GIGGLE

Waves of Healing

Waves of Healing

Ocean Meditation from the daily OM

Like us, the sea is ever-changing. And, like us, the earth´s vast oceans appear at a distance to be stable and homogeneous. But beneath the mask of solidity that both we and the sea wear, there lies unpredictability, sensitivity, and power.

There is much we can learn from the ocean, representative as it is of our inner landscapes.

The rough sounds of the sea´s waves are spiritually soothing, and its salt can purify our physical selves.

Yet not everyone has the luxury of living by the shore or even visiting the coastlines where water and land meet. The ocean, however, exists in our conscious minds, put there by images we have seen and descriptions we have read. Wherever we are, we can access that mental image and use it as the starting point from which we can help to heal our emotions by meditating on the sea.

To begin, gather together any ocean artifacts you may have on hand. Seashells, a vial of sand, beach glass, stones rubbed smooth by the pounding surf, or a recording of ocean sounds can help you slip more deeply into this meditation, but they are not necessary.

Sit quietly and visualize the ocean in your mind´s eye. Allow all of your senses to participate in your mental journey. Feel the tiny grains of sand beneath your feet and the cool spray of mist; hear the sea´s rhythmic roar as the waves meet the beach and retreat; smell the tang of salt in the air. Watch the sun´s rays play over the ocean´s surface, creating shifting spots of teal, cobalt, and green. Don´t be surprised if you see dolphins frolicking in the waves-they are there to assist you. Spend a few minutes drinking in the ocean´s beauty and appreciating its vast splendor.

Once you are fully engaged with the setting before you, visualize yourself sitting on the beach, facing the ocean, and watching the waves advance and retreat.

As each new wave of seawater approaches, imagine it carrying healing energy toward you.

The magnificent ocean in your thoughts is sending you light and love while the sun supports your healing efforts and Mother Earth grounds you in the moment so healing can occur.

When you feel you are finished, grant the ocean your earnest gratitude for the aid it has given you.
Thank the sun, the sand, and any other elements of your visualization that offered you guidance.

Perform this meditation daily or monthly in order to rid yourself of negativity and reestablish emotional equilibrium. Just as the ocean´s tides sweep the shores free of detritus, restoring balance, so can the waves in our mind´s eye cleanse our souls of what no longer serves us.

Love Apple

June is named for the Roman goddess Juno, patron of married life.

Here’s an old Gypsy charm (not from me!) to strengthen your marriage:

choose an apple without blemish and cut it in half. Write on a piece of paper your name and the name of your mate and trim the paper in such a way so that it fits within the two halves of the apple. Fasten the apple halves together with toothpicks. As you skewer the two halves together say:

Together we’re bound
Me, in love with you,
You, in love with me.
May all our words and actions
Be a reflection of our love.
Blessed Be.

Sprinkle liberally with sugar (love energy) and bake at 350 degrees F. until the two halves fuse together. This spell works best if both of you eat the magic apple.

The Instructions

A long time ago, in the beginning, the Creator gave to all people and to all things the Wisdom and the knowledge of how to live in harmony.

Some tribes call these teachings the original Instructions, the original teachings, or the Great Laws.

All of Nature still lives and survives according to these teachings.

In modern times, human beings are searching for the Instructions.

Many churches claim they have these Instructions. Where are these teachings?

The Instructions are written in our hearts.

Great Spirit, today, whisper to me the secrets of the original Instructions.

"From all things, come all things, and from each end comes a beginning" jo

Understanding

I was talking to Barb today, about being so depressed about shore leave, and not going... and she really understood it!

Like she said, it's the one thing that I do for myself.

The one time I spend money, time, and more, on just myself! Not the kids, not the house, not the car, not the boy, nothing, just for me.

And I've been doing it, once a year, for 30 years!!! (besides the 2 times I've missed because of money... this will make 3 times)

I've spent my life doing for EVERYONE!

Doing with out because I had other responsibility's to attend too.

But, each year, I took some of that money, and let go of some of that responsibility and went to Shore Leave. And some how that's kept me going for years.

Even though my sister tried to ruin it for me, I still went and enjoyed it. So, I don't feel so bad about being depressed about missing it. I should be depressed. It's the one thing I do for myself, totally and absolutely selfishly, and I can't even do that anymore!

And I know why most people don't understand that, especially if they have never had kids, and never had so much responsibility! I'm envious of them, and I feel bad for them at the same time. LOL fucked up, isn't it?

Well, I'm gonna let myself feel depressed and bad.... and I'm NOT going to cancel the room till the last moments... but I know I'm not going and it doesn't feel good at all!
