I swear, I've been as jumpy as a "drop of cold water on a hot skillet", to use an old saying. I have no idea why??!!!!
It's freaking me out!!!!!!. A few nights ago I went to go to bed, and saw that my curtain in the bedroom window was "mussed" Granted, I knew the window was open, and it WAS windy....But it still spooked me. I had to check the screen, and then check the closets, and the bathtub (shower curtains can hide all kinds of monsters, both human and the other kind!!!!) Finally I went to sleep, clutching a switchblade knife, just in case. SIGH PATHETIC.
Then just a few minutes ago, I was sitting watching TV when I felt a cold drop of water on my NECK!!!!!! I checked the ceiling.... Maybe a leak... Nope....Checked the window...Closed and locked. (now the hearts beating pretty hard!) checked my head.... And there's a wet spot. Now I'm afraid to look at my hand!!!! What if it's not water, but blood leaking from somewhere..... Not from me... Of course, but like from the ceiling. OK, SPOOKED AGAIN. Took me 5 minutes to remember I just chucked a bag in the garbage outside, and it's raining!!! DUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHH
Just being spooked for some strange reason, and I don't know why. Usually I can figure out where my fear is coming from....But this time, I have no idea!!!!!
I'm not watching scary movies, or reading scary books..... So why????????
I'm going to take a benadryll and try to get some sleep. I hate being spooked! :(

Being SPOOKED!!!!!

CANDY, CANDY, CANDY
Aries Candy (March 21 to April 19)
Fire signs like Aries enjoy candy with a kick, which is why you'll often see Rams reaching for a box of Red Hots. When this sign gets a chocolate craving, they'll usually reach for a bag of M&M's, since it's the only candy that can withstand the heat they're always generating. Of course, a bag of Pop Rocks is always a good choice for Aries, who simply explodes with energy.
Taurus Candy (April 20 to May 20)
Taurus likes candy that will last and last. Maybe that's why Gobstoppers are such a big hit with this crowd. Bulls also enjoy gnawing their way through a Mary Jane or two. When it comes to getting a chocolate fix, Goldenberg Peanut Chews are often the candy of choice, as they can't be gulped all at once.
Gemini Candy (May 21 to June 20)
If there's anything Gemini can't resist, it's getting two candies for the price of one. Perhaps this explains their fondness for Charms Blow Pops. If this sign yearns for a bit of chocolate, they'll usually reach for a Twix. As for hard candy, is it any wonder that these intellectual giants love Smarties?
Cancer Candy (June 21 to July 22)
Sentimental Cancer enjoys old-fashioned candy that reminds them of yesteryear. Lifesavers may conjure memories of a favorite grandparent who doled out these treats when Mom's back was turned. Crabs also have a soft spot for Baby Ruths, since they have a fondness for children. And Twizzlers probably appeal to the Moon Child's twisted sense of humor!
Leo Candy (July 23 to Aug. 22)
Is it any wonder that the most playful sign of the zodiac has a special affinity for Fun Dip? Leos also enjoy Starburst candy, since it reminds them of their own celestial radiance. When a Lion hankers for chocolate, a Kit Kat will evoke purrs of delight. It's important to note that although this sign is usually known for their generosity, this sign could let out a roar of rage if you raid their candy stash.
Virgo Candy (Aug. 23 to Sept. 22)
Health-oriented Virgo isn't above shopping in the candy aisle. For those times when the Virgin is taking a purist stance toward their body, a box of Raisinettes can appease their guilty conscience. Because this sign is associated with the harvest, candy corn could have a tremendous appeal. If you really want to see this sign smile, though, just pass them a bag of sour apple Jolly Ranchers. Their bright green color evokes springtime for this nature-lover.
Libra Candy (Sept. 23 to Oct. 22)
Libras have a strong sense of aesthetics, which is probably why they love Jordan Almonds, whose pretty pastels are a delight to behold. People who are born under the sign of the Scales are also hopeless romantics, so it's no wonder they enjoy SweeTarts. When it comes to chocolate, a box of Junior Mints is always welcome, since they make kissing even more delicious.
Scorpio Candy (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)
Scorpio is a fan of all that's dark and shadowy, so it's not surprising that these folks stock up on candy cigarettes. They are essential props for their film noir fantasies. This sign is also a big fan of the color black, which gives them a natural love of licorice. As far as chocolate is concerned, "the darker, the better" is Scorpio's motto. Hershey's Special Dark Bars are usually rich enough to fit the bill.
Sagittarius Candy (Nov. 22 to Dec. 21)
Sagittarius isn't the most materialistic sign in the world, but there are some things that these folks do collect. One of them is Pez dispensers. (These justice-lovers have a special fondness for the ones depicting superheroes.) Archers always dream of visiting distant lands, which is probably why they enjoy Mounds bars … nothing evokes swaying palm trees than that delicious coconut taste! Naturally, these jokesters adore Chuckles, too.
Capricorn Candy (Dec. 22 to Jan. 19)
Status-oriented Capricorn likes candy that evokes images of abundance. That's why you'll often find this sign munching a 100 Grand Bar. Boxes of Good & Plenty also win favor with the Goat. Don't let these work horses fool you, though -- they may espouse the virtues of labor, but all Capricorn really wants is a Sugar Daddy.
Aquarius Candy (Jan. 20 to Feb. 18)
Water-bearers are often drawn to containers built to transport liquid, hence their fondness for those freaky wax bottles filled with syrup. When it comes to chocolate, Aquarius will invariably reach for a box of Whoppers. Describing the taste of malted milk is always a challenge for this analytical sign. Hard-to-find candy like Necco Wafers also gives this sign a kick, since they like things that are off the beaten path.
Pisces Candy (Feb. 19 to March 20)
Is it any surprise that most Pisces have an affinity for Swedish Fish? When this sign isn't munching these chewy treats, they're often sporting a pair of Wax Lips. (Pisces never outgrows their love of dress-up.) As far as chocolate is concerned, Rolo is a favorite choice, since its liquid caramel center makes a big splash with this water sign.

I've wanted one of these lamps for ever!!!! But being the "thrift mom" I couldn't force myself to buy one. I did see something like this on sale in JC Penny's for $99 dollars, the base was plastic, and the lamp had some kind of rose's on it. But when I finally forced myself to order them, the sale was off and they were over $200 dollars each!!!!! NO WAY!!!! I cancelled the order. LOL
Then I went to BJ's a few days ago, and saw this lamp. I nearly choked at the price. $59!!!!!! And it was real glass, with a metal base!!!!!! But I didn't buy it, no, not me, I'm an idiot
So I went back again today, and checked it out..... I was sure I had the price wrong, you know how the price tags work at BJ's, the item could be up or down from the price..... So when I went there was only one lamp, none in boxes. Just the one, really dusty one on the shelf.
I went up to ask about it, and it seems it was the only one left... No box, discontinued, AND ONLY $49 ON SALE!!!!!!!! Well the fates had spoken, so this time I made them get a wire clipper, (it was wired to the rack so no one could steal it! Like considering how heavy it is, who could have ran with it???) But never the less I GOT IT!!!!
For that price I would have been a total idiot to turn it down!!!!!!!! I wish I could have gotten 2 of them, but I'm happy having just one!~!!!!!

SIGH I'm SUCH A SCHMUCK!!! I have depth perception problems, and tell you the truth, measurements don't seem to make sense to me at all!
I saw this FANTASTIC light on e-bay for $20!!!!!!!! Yes, just $20!!!! Brand new, in the box!!!!!! HOW COULD I RESIST?????? It would have been perfect for my kitchen or my dining room!!!!
But I failed to take into account the SIZE!!! LOL If I put it up, with only ONE link in the chain to hang it, I would have bumped my head on it, and I'm only 5'6" tall!!!!!
Well, I'm giving it to Jaime, she can use it in the stairwell in her house. I gotta learn to measure!!!!!!

ODE TO DARKEND SPELLS
For I am old now,
the witch would sigh.
My cauldrons empty,
my herbs are nigh.
all the spells and potions
wither in the light,
and no longer prolong
the darkness of the night
for I am old now,
no more spells for me
the oldness of my magic
isn't what it seems
I wish to cast one last spell
to keep the night at bay
but I am old now
there is no longer the day
So dampen the blazing fire
free the souls I keep
for I am old now
and all I wish for,
is sleep

He led her By the collar, he led her by her hair.
And she responded …love you dear,
And he responded ….bitch I’m here.
And late at night, after passion was done
Home he went, for he was a solitary one
But, she laid there, deep within the night,
Alone and confused, which was her right.
For she served him with no thought of herself.
And gloried in her pain,
But with the first light dawning
He left her in distain.
To live her life, by herself,
Till darkness brought him back again.
Her pretty lips would tremble
Her sea blue eyes would tear
But he wasn’t around to see it
To comfort her, and her fears
And soon she turned to another
One who used her as his dear,
Spanked and abused her, pulled her long blond hair.
But at the daylight dawning, next to her he lay
And stroked her cool pale body,
And loved her fears away
For when you serve another, No matter how you love,
A slave is just a slave at dawn, Unless she’s blessed with love

She was chubby, it is true
rolly polly, cheerful too
but deep inside the evil lurked
peaking out a soul that didn't work
and in light she seemed so sweet
but in dark the darkness creeped
never trust a cheerful soul
without looking past the studied role
for evil comes in many forms
sweet and cheerful not the norm
but it happens, this I know
watch for it in rain and snow
take this lesson well to heart
don't let evil tear you apart

Betsy is BACK!!!!!

For those of you, who don't remember my sad lament, my Crock Pot... Called Betsy.... Had died this year.
I was given her at my Wedding Shower!!!! Now I was married 21 yrs, and widowed for over 10 yrs, so you do the math and figure how old she was, but she still chugged along, turning out wonderful crock pot food. She was with me during 13 different moves!!!! House to house I lugged her.
When she died, my daughter Jaime, gave me the one I gave her! I gave it to her years ago, and it was never used (she just isn't the crock pot type, mores the pity) but it was tooooooo biiiiiiig! Big enough to do a turkey!!!!! And I didn't need something that big, I needed Betsy! The perfect size!!!!!
I went to Big Lots today to browse around, and THERE SHE WAS!!!! BETSY 2 The same size, the same company, the only difference is that the removable ceramic pot is white instead of blue!!! But that's cool, I can live with that. LOL.
So, she's in my kitchen right now..... A nice huge pot roast inside her, with carrots, celery, onions, and cooking away!!!!! YEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Select Comfort
Hay you know those guys at Select comfort are the best!!!! As I mentioned before, I have one of those air beds by Select Comfort. BEST BED IN THE WORLD!!! But, my NASTY, BAD, BAD, BAD KITTY, ate thru on of the hose's, and even though I taped the holes, it's still loosing air at night..... Just on one side, or course, THE SIDE I SLEEP ON!!!
Well, I did a tricky thing, I SWITCHED HOSE'S, from one side to the other, so now it's the unused side that leaks air, and my side is the one with the good hose....But still I wanted to get it fixed, somehow. (and of course, Merlin is banned forever from my bedroom!!!!)
I thought of buying a pool patch kit, because the hose does not come out of the machine, so you can't just switch the hose for a new one. (sometimes company's are sooooooo stupid!!!! Why wouldn't they have a hose that would detach from the machine, so you could replace the hose, and not the whole frigging machine?????
Well, since it's the side I don't sleep on, I figured, I would just blow it up and cap it...... And of course, the trolls stole the caps!!!!!! They give you a set, so that you can blow up the mattress and cap it and check if it's leaking. But they are gone, gone, gone.
I called them up, explained about the BAD KITTY, so that they could send me some new caps...But they had a better idea, and are sending me a new hose, and instructions on how to "splice it" on to the part that sticks in the machine. I don't know if I'll be able to do it, but she said, just call when the part comes, and they will talk me thu it. Hummmmmm I hopes so....But in the meantime I also told them to send the caps, just in case I can't do the splice thingie. LOL
They are sending it out for free, no cost, so I can't be the only one with a BAD KITTY or BAD DOGGIE, as the case may be. GIGGLE.
Didn't matter much, I would have gladly spent a couple hundred to get a new pump, since I can't possible live with out my bed!!!!! But, a patch kit will do just as well.

PUMPKINS

I finally went out and got my pumpkins. Though I may have overdone it a bit! LOL One weighs 25 lbs, and the other over 40 lbs, but I LOVE THEM!!!!!
And no, they aren't decorated, nor will they be, and I'm sure not cutting the poor things up.... They are pumpkins nothing more. And when the holidays over I will bake my little heart out, making pies, and muffins, and even roasting the seeds.... But not till like in December...... And yes, they will last that long!!!! I've had ones that lasted even longer!!!!
